Ellen Orchid is from Brooklyn, NY. She has an MFA in playwriting. She has studied at the Jacob Krueger studio where she wrote a sitcom spec script and a feature film script. She wrote a biography of her grandfather, Jacob Weinberg (1879-1956), a Russian composer. She is also an actress and does stand-up comedy. She did stand-up on “The View” and had a speaking role as”Dr. Sharon Zalutsky” on “The Sopranos”.

Ellen is a graduate of the prestigious Actors Studio Drama School program, where she studied with Ellen Burstyn, Susan Aston, and Elizabeth Kemp. She has also attended the HB Studio in NYC where she studied acting, musical theater, and singing with Austin Pendleton, Lorraine Serabian, Marina Hogue, and Shirley Callaway.
